A bit brighter today

On a campus that we do not yet own

The quiet rustle of trees

Reflected off a frozen lake

The crackle of a fire

Among walls being broken

Down to the foundation

Of lives being explored

Bonds being formed

In a Cole world where

Robin steps outside of her fears to conquer the world,

Esau continues to choose and bet on himself,

Ja’Sean formulates his own plan for domination,

Asiyah is finally comfortable walking her own path,

Mega figures out that he is the storm,

TJ becomes the voice of the people,

Genesis continues to be a selfless leader,

Mimi owns who she’s becoming

Derek has tunnel vision on success, and

Damarco recognizes his people are proud of his greatness

Nothing less

For you are the jewels of this campus

The jewels of the next generation

Do well to remember that
